Roxie studied a BA in Advertising and after graduating, worked agency-side in London, delivering media planning and buying for non-profits. Her degree was intended to set her up for industry, but Roxie always felt gravitated to the charity sector, through her agency work and volunteering. She switched to “client side” in 2017 and has worked in the charity sector ever since.
Roxie now works at YMCA England & Wales in the Direct Marketing team, overseeing the programme to recruit everyday members of the public to the charity on a financial gift.
Using audience insight to make informed decisions about media and creative is her passion – but these can be hard resources to come by in the charity sector, with reduced budgets. Team work is the dream work, and Roxie believes the most important thing in the workplace is honesty and kindness, and working together collaboratively to achieve the same goal.
