Nathan has over 12 years experience in delivering data driven media solutions and client strategy having joined the industry in 2010. He has previously led the client service team and relationship function at a UK data solutions company.

He has a passion for problem solving and loves helping clients and partners with new solutions and revenue streams that will deliver long term success. He is as expert in all things data protection and keeps up to date with all of the latest changes and interpretation of UK and international compliance law, holding a level 2 in the principles of Data Protection qualification and regularly attending DMA compliance events. He is also a real advocate for the print media channels and loves nothing more in detailing how letterbox media can deliver amazing results for clients when they are given the right guidance.

Nathan always ensures that decisions made at Join the Dots are backed up with insight and experience and has managed and designed many Market Research projects in the past, including brand trackers for O2, creative concept tests for Jo Malone and even polling surveys for general elections.

As Director of Growth at Join the Dots, Nathan is responsible for new business strategy and innovation, as well as ensuring that existing clients and partners have everything they need from the team to deliver on their marketing goals. He is also responsible for creating and developing new industry partnerships that can help to deliver more effective and innovative ways of working for clients that are looking to utilise print media.

Sophie heads up new business at Royal Mail Marketreach spearheading initiatives like getting mail onto marketing automation platforms, promoting programmatic mail and a wide range of programmes to promote the channel within the marketing industry. Before this Sophie worked at some of the leading integrated agencies and has a wide range of client exposure from retail to financial services on big brands like Sainsbury’s, American Express and IKEA. She has a broad set of skills from running big integrated accounts through to more data-driven marketing. This makes Sophie a true all-rounder with knowledge across most sectors and most channels.

Sophie also sits on the DMA Print Council and was instrumental in the launch of the new Joint Industry Committee for Mail which launched in January 2018.

Mark has been Engagement Director for JICMAIL, the currency for the mail industry, since June 2018. He works across sectors and has been Advisor to OmniGOV also since 2018, the UK Government’s single agency partner for Media Activation. He is also a founding partner of Texture AI, which applies NLP, cognitive science and linguistics to communications. He has a track record across both the public and private sectors and was previously the COI’s Communications Planning director - where he led and developed government’s strategic planning, evaluation and media capability. Prior to being a senior civil servant Mark worked for many years in the agency sector.

Mark is a Fellow of the IPA.

Established 17 years, Nutshell Creative is a full-service creative design agency which has a specialist division, Nutshell Trade Services that provides specialist marketing support to the print industry supply chain.

Over the last 25 years, Lucy has enjoyed a range of successful roles in marketing and design agencies together with managerial positions at medium to large print providers. Lucy is a big believer in the diversity of print and what it can do for brands. She currently Chairs The Strategic Mailing Partnership supported by Royal Mail, sits on the IPIA and DMA councils and is proud to be an influencer for the print industry to ensure future generations are immersed in this wonderful medium. Dedicated to making this possible, Lucy is passionate about creating a societal change within children and their relationship with the printed word. She has set up a charity and developed a literacy resource called Topic Heroes that is free to primary aged children in the UK.

Cathy's role is to develop growth strategies for Canon’s Commercial Print business and unfold business opportunities for their customers, print service providers, based on Canon’s highspeed digital printing solutions. Her career started in the printing industry over 20 years ago. In that time, she has worked in various international marketing & sales development roles.

For the past 5 years, she has been active as a thought-leader and strategic business developer for the Graphic Arts industry in EMEA. In 2018, Cathy co-founded the Canon Future Promotion Forum. Her vision is to enable marketers and print service providers to combine the latest innovations in digital print and marketing technology to create the ultimate user experience and achieve the highest Return on Marketing Investment

Roxie studied a BA in Advertising and after graduating, worked agency-side in London, delivering media planning and buying for non-profits. Her degree was intended to set her up for industry, but Roxie always felt gravitated to the charity sector, through her agency work and volunteering. She switched to “client side” in 2017 and has worked in the charity sector ever since. Roxie now works at YMCA England & Wales in the Direct Marketing team, overseeing the programme to recruit everyday members of the public to the charity on a financial gift.

Using audience insight to make informed decisions about media and creative is her passion – but these can be hard resources to come by in the charity sector, with reduced budgets. Team work is the dream work, and Roxie believes the most important thing in the workplace is honesty and kindness, and working together collaboratively to achieve the same goal.

Sven is co-founder of AutLay, a 2019 founded Start-up based in Cologne (Germany). AutLay focuses on the development of technologies, that are capable to automate the design process of print materials (currently focusing on retail / commerce). With unique technologies, AutLay not only makes publishing processes more time and cost efficient, but also enables individualized print communication and thus contributes to the future of media mass customization and programmatic print.

After finishing his Master of Science in Information Systems in 2015 Sven worked as a consultant in the retail industry and did research in the field of media mass customization at the University of Cologne. The research results of his former colleague (and now co-founder) and him were the fundament for the formation of AutLay.

Mike Hughes has over 30 years’ experience in the marketing, fulfilment, print and customer communications industry. Throughout his career, Mike has held a number of key board positions Mail Marketing, MM Group, as a founder director of OnePost, and most recently as Founder and Managing Director of Latcham.

Established in 2008, Latcham now has a turnover in excess of £16M and employs around 110 people in Bristol and Crawley, providing a full range of data processing, personalisation, print and digital fulfilment services, with major clients in the financial services, utilities, local authorities, membership sectors.
